Role Reversal

So there I am in my bedroom, in front of the mirror in my undies, singing along to the perfect song for a sunny Saturday. My make-up's done and I'm straightening my hair.

The door flies open and in marches an eight year old girl. She's been ready for ages, waiting for me. "It's too LOUD" she snaps, turns the music down and stomps out.

Now hang on ... isn't that the wrong way round?!

  1. LMAO

DEFINITELY the wrong way around. Child needs training -
Adult music is meant to be loud
Child music is meant to be complained about.

Not the other way around. Also, music from *our* era is better played loud. Modern music played loud is just noise. ;0)

  9. This is hilarious! Actually, it's funnier when it happened to you than when it happened to me. Must try to remember that detail in the future (focus on the humor). Thanks to Dave for sending me over here. Great read.

  11. Wait til she turns teen! She will also advise you on how to dress. And worse. Mine has tried to ask me to make sure to kiss her goodnight, in order to make sure I did not stay out past midnight. ;-)

I came over here from David's "Authorblog".

  12. What is it about kids seeing their parents enjoying music? My boys always tell me to stop when I sing along to the radio in the car. And I thought I had quite a good voice!
