This meant that buyers arranged bridging loan and we moved into a really really horrible holiday cottage (cheap) waiting for our new build house to be completed. I really sympathise. I was ...Well thats a relief. I really sympathise. I was in the same position exactly this time last year with the landlord announcing he had sold the house from under my feet. I couldn't face the thought of renting again...on my own with the three children - it was a nightmare. Anyway. It all worked out in the end. I bought somewhere and for the children it was the right decision as they are far more settled. If I still had a partner I would carry on renting - I think it's great not to be tied to a house....lots of advantages.
